Steel Wheels Indoor BMX "Old Dudes" Money Open

The "Old Dudes" Money Open double points race was a fantastic race for 685 Designs and thanks to Steel Wheels for putting on this awesome event!. The track like always was dialed in and ready for action! If you have never had a chance to witness a race at Steel Wheels Indoor BMX, it is non stop action for 5 hours except the occasional break between the motos rounds and before the mains. There was 64 motos posted on the motos boards and that was a good solid number with the threat of nasty weather approaching. Like every race, we saw blood, sweat, tears as competitors are faced with the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat! With weather getting bad down south we decided to cut out of there early and glad we did. Traffic was moving really good on the interstate until we arrived at Lincoln, Illinois. That is where we ran into a flash blizzard that left motorist to rapidly reduce their speed and adjust to the driving conditions. We made it home safely! Next race that 685 Designs is planning on attending is the Illinois State Qualifier at Rock Island Indoor BMX on January 5th, 2020. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
