Rockford BMX Illinois Sate Championship

This year's Illinois State Championship was once again in Rockford. This is a fast, technical track that offers some great racing action for the BMX spectators. Mother Nature's stronghold of rain threatened this year's State Championship as it released its steady rain on the track and the entire state during the weakened. The rain made the asphalt turns a little slick. Many racers slid out in the wet turns. The riders ended up adjusting their riding style to meet track conditions. After everything was done, RAINFORD pulled off the Championship race again in the least perfect conditions. Rockford should feel blessed that they do get a State Qualifier, State Championship, and the Midwest National every year so they have the revenue to Sol-Tac their track annually to be able to race in these downpours every year. Aside from the weather, 685 Designs had a great time talking to old friends and meeting new friends for future races to come. See you next weekend at the Indiana State Championship.
