Brighton Illinois State Qualifier

Yesterday was Brighton Illinois State Qualifier. As expected from previous state qualifier that Brighton has had and this races was not any different. It was a very small race as we only had 20 motos for a state qualifier. Brighton is considered a southern Illinois track. I saw many Northern Illinois racers but not enough to push the race to a good size state qualifier count. The factors that could be named in resulting in a small race were weather and road construction on Route 55 that was causing 2 hour delays. There was some miscellaneous actions beside the races on the track. People hitting carburetors on Route 55 resulting in the blowing out of tires in their vehicles and the Brighton Rescue crew was called to the track for an injured rider. With the super small state qualifier of only 20 motos, 685 Designs did surprisingly well considering the low moto count. See you at the Midwest National in two weeks.
